You will find the largest lake island in Europe - Monte Isola - located just over an hour and a half away from our Award-Winning Boutique Hotel. The island is linked to the mainland by a Ferry Service. The closest point of which you can reach Monte Isola is from the town of Sulzano - which is just over an hour away from our hotel. Visiting this island will make you feel as though you’ve taken a trip back in time, as no vehicles are allowed. The only vehicles you will find on the island are public buses, residents motorbikes and bicycles. Plus the cars of the priest’s, the doctors and the mayors. From experiencing the local cuisine to exploring charming points of interest - there is an abundance of things for you to do during your visit to the island. Tucked between the lake and mountainous terrain, it is full of historical, cultural and artistic heritage, making it the ideal location to go exploring for the day - it’s undeniable that is deserves it’s named title as one of ‘The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy’. You can take a trip to The Tadini Gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts to admire some masterpieces or to the new Cornasola Marina, which is the largest marina on the lake. There are even several outdoor activities to partake in for any of you daredevils. You're sure to find something you enjoy here.
