Lake Como

About 2 hours drive away from Albergo Miramonti, you will find Lake Como. This spot guarantees stunning views, from the lake itself to the mountainous landscape surrounding it. The lake takes the shape of a wish-bone and goes on for over 20 miles. It obtains the title of one of the deepest lakes in Europe, as it’s bed sits at over 200 metres below sea level. Its shores are graced with colourful villages that are surrounded by hills, providing even more scenic views. Since ancient times, Lake Como has been a go-to spot for many aristocrats and wealthy individuals. Rest-assured, this place definitely deserves a place on the ‘Gram.

Bergamo

A jewel in Lombardy’s crown – Bergamo is a historical city enriched with heritage and culture. The town is renowned for it’s unique two-tiered structure. The lower part, Bergamo Bassa, is the more contemporary part of the city. Whilst the top-tier, Bergamo Alta, is the more traditional area. Filled with Venetian fortresses and medieval pathways, you will feel like you’ve taken a trip back in time. The landscape is just as picturesque as the town itself, as it’s surrounded by serene lakes and rivers such as: Lake Iseo and the rivers of Brembo. This is all settled between mountains. Take a stroll through this city and you will have endless opportunities to capture the perfect shot.

The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle

The castle of Trauttmansdorff is one of the city’s famous attractions and the castle’s gardens are certainly filled with photo opportunities. The garden is adorned with more than 80 themed garden landscapes, containing bright and colourful plants from all over the world. When you visit the gardens, you are only a short walk from the Trauttmansdorff Castle itself. There are plenty of beautiful vistas for you to photograph in the grounds of the castle.

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

Have you even been to Milan if you don’t get a snap in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele shopping mall? This is a well-known spot among all you Instagram users. This elegant shopping centre was built in the 19th century – it’s formed by 2 arcades that are covered by a glass and iron dome. This is without a doubt one of the most sought after sights in Milan. In the middle of the dome, on the floor of the mall, there is a mosaic Turin bull. Legend has it: if you step your right foot on the bull and complete a full turn with your eyes closed – it will bring you good luck!

Stelvio National Park

Located at the centre of the Italian Alps, Stelvio is not only the largest national park in Italy – but also one of the largest in Europe. In the park you will find remarkable mountain and valley views, there are even some glaciers. There is such a diverse range of scenery, there are: forests, alpine meadows and rocky Mountains. You can also meet some of the park residents, as it is the home to plenty of Alpine wildlife. There are so many offerings of the perfect photo when taking a hike through the park.
